Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Following her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte in Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling, which turned into the profession of commercial modeling. Doody stringently avoided glamour and nude work a clause which allowed her to pursue an acting profession. When she was spotted by the director of casting in the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody appeared as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the role Doody was, and still is - the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. In Hollywood Doody moved to. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman. She was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent on the film Major League II. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 with a minor part as a character in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. The year 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred in the RTE medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. In 2011, she started the first of two seasons on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. On 21 November 2018 she was awarded by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and she received a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
