Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. One year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
