Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident as early as the day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. A year later Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record doing 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, defeating her time-tested Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Jaeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently among the top three in the events.
